OMG Stephen!! Now I feel just awful for giving up on you. When I saw that it was about 1.5 hours since the last 5k, I thought that you certainly wouldn't be in condition to continue through another 15-20k. Wow. Well, you certainly deserve to celebrate your finish! Wow!

Re: tracking chicago
Thanks to all for tracking us!
I want to mention that Steve (fostever) also ran a 3:14 yesterday...he was going for a 3:10, but let me tell you a 3:14 is an excellent accomplishment in those conditions!
I had my first ever major blow up, and somehow salvaged a finish. I also ended up in the medical tent...an experience I don't want to repeat. I thought of my 365 friends at every timing mat, even when I knew my goal/any chance of a PR was totally gone. Thanks for your support!

Re: tracking chicago
Congrats to you all! When I arrived in Cleveland at 4 PM, it was several degrees warmer and sunnier than Atlanta - go figure! Glad everyone is ok despite some med tent adventures (been there, done that). My training friend finished in 4:14 - disappointed, but in one piece. She slowed down around half to salvage the race and in spite of being used to the heat, she said it was pretty brutal.
Congrats again to you all! John P - I'll see you in Grand Rapids.

It didn't look like a blow-up in the results - I thought you ran an awesome race! Bummer about the med tent, but you ended up 102 out of 3686 age groupers. Top 3%. That is just nuts! Hopefully you feel better today and congrats on a GREAT RUN!!!
Yes, that is also a crazy good time for Steve, who was 67th out of 1,666 in his age group. Top 4%. Totally awesome!

Thanks, John...but my goal was 3:10 and my only other marathon I ran in 3:18...so it was a big, big blow up. Steve did awesome!

Sorry for the tough conditions, all. I know it's tough to rationalize results you did not want.
