Great news! Keeping it relatively close to home, then?
Yes sir...should only be a little over an hour drive...

Got in 4.5 miles outside after work again. Spring is slowly creeping its way into the Midwest. One more run for the week on Saturday and then I am heading to Racine on Sunday for my Fantasy Baseball draft. Then Monday is Opening Day in Milwaukee...I will be there bright and early to celebrate!!

I got in a great run on Saturday that I dedicated to Charles. 8 miles on a gorgeous day. I also got to break in a new pair of shoes. Another pair of New Balance (I may have found a new brand)
Stay strong Charles!! Here is to a full recovery!!

Re: The "In Between"
Back at it today with another 4.5 miles outside...remember how I said that spring is slowly making its way to the Midwest? Well, I lied, because we are supposed to be hit with an ice/sleet bath tonight. We are supposed to get up to a quarter of an inch of ice.
Yuck!!

Do you mean yesterday's game or today's ??
The entire series was filled with good pitching. Good thing there are 159 more games left...

Very funny...We just swept the Red Sox in Boston...The first time we have done that since 1993 when we were in the AL.

Re: The "In Between"
I got in a good 8.72 miles on Saturday. Did the hilly loop as I am trying to get miles back on my legs. I also signed up for the Fox Cities Half Marathon in September. This will be my 9th year in a row of running this race. Hopefully a new PR will be in the cards.

Re: The "In Between"
Got in 10.42 miles today. Hopefully spring is finally here. It feels good to run two days in a row in sleeveless and shorts. Almost 20 miles for the weekend. Next Saturday I am running a 50k relay...then after that the base running will start. Mileage will slowly creep back up and I'll hit June and my training "running"...pun intended...

Re: The "In Between"
I know - I thought about you when I was listening to the game while driving back to Ohio yesterday. Sad to think I switched over to the Indians because it was more interesting (even if the Indians lost). Unfortunately, satellite did not have the Braves-Nationals game - Braves won.Nick Morris wrote:Michele \"1L" Keane wrote:Well Opening Day or in other words, their last win against the BravesNick Morris wrote:Michele \"1L" Keane wrote:Sorry, Nick - last game for the Brewers against Atlanta.

Re: The "In Between"
Alright...To catch everyone back up to speed. The last couple of weeks have been hectic. I was in Miami for work, ran a 50K relay while cheering on my friend who ran the 100k solo, and got in my first 17 miler since I got sick this winter.
I am beginning to ramp up my running and about to start up my base training for my actual fall marathon training. Right now, it is all about getting time and miles on my legs and start taking off some winter lbs.

No kidding! Heck, it even had ME considering racing another marathon.
You've got plenty of time to ease back into it. Enjoy the running!

Thanks!! I am shooting for another BQ this fall and getting older has made it a little easier for me, as I get an extra 5 minutes.

I have 3 years to knock off 90 minutes, so I can get into the 4 hour at 60 years old age group qualifier.

No problem, Ounce? Me, I'm figuring I'll need to wait until I'm 80.
