Goodness
Very humid. Very damp. Very disgusting. I ran a 7:54 pace the whole way. Was not going to push it. Just wanted it done. 55:18 closed the door on this 7 miler. With a off day yesterday, I have 30 miles this week. I am aiming for 40. Could do it. I do have to work tomorrow. LOL
Way To Finish Out A Week
No, I did not hit 40 miles, but I am ok with 37. I was rushed, as I had to work today. It was damp and cool, so very nice on that part. I ran the first mile in 7:42 and the last six in 44:48 for a 52:30. I felt good. The groin, well it is always there. Oh well. It always loosens up after one mile. Still a pain....might get to see the DC on Monday.
Chamber of Commerce Day In The Space City
Wow. Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. I cannot add anything to that. My run was pedestrian, but good. The first mile was in 7:42 and the last 6 in 44:48 to give me a 52:30 for 7 miles. The groin, still there, does loosen up after the first mile. I have totally laid off the Ibruprofen. I worry about high blood pressure, so I took myself off of it. I have not taken any since last Monday. I have to see my DC tomorrow. I need tune ups all over. LOL. I have 7 miles this week.
Working My Way To Something
Humid, but not too bad. I did not run yesterday. Took day off to spend with family. Today was a straight on 52:30 for 7 miles. ART was yesterday and it felt good. Boy, I sure could use another one. Sigh. I had to rush this one and tomorrow's will be a rush too. Sigh. I have 14 miles this week.
Rolling Through
Wednesday, 37:30 for 5 miles. I had a student call me right before my run. Lost two miles to time. It was 5:05 when I started and had to finish by 5:45 pm. Yesterday, it was hot, humid and disgusting. I wanted to run. I really did, but when one intersection of the road had flashing lights and the backup was two miles after I picked my son up, I could not run. Agghh. Today, I ran 5 miles. It was not bad. Really cool out. 59 degrees in fact. The first mile was 9:30 and after that, I picked it up. I ran a 29:48 the rest of the way for a 39:18. I was pleased. Today, 7 miles. I have to get it in. I have 25 miles this week.

Good grief! Already? If this weather keeps up, you're going to end up like south Florida, with alligators coming out of your toilets.

Re: Clawing My Way Back
Oh Michael, I can so relate to hot, humid, and disgusting! What is going on??? It was 70F with 98% humidity this morning or my 14 miler. They kept saying we were going to get massive storms, and all we managed was a few drops. A front is coming and may already be in TX though as the temps here have already dropped to 60F. I do think it is really raining down on the south side where Stan and Gobbles live.
After I ran my 14 miles, I looked like I had been swimming - not running!

Yeah, it has been up and down. Well, normal La Nina winters are not like this....but.....LOL. It cooled off today. It was really nice.

I know. I know...LOL
Stronger On The Back End
I was. This was a good run. I started at a 7:54 pace for 1/2 mile and then 7:30 pace for the next 5.5 miles. Ended up with a 45:13 for 6 miles. I could have had the 7, but the family was waiting for me for dinner. I am thinking we are working out tomorrow at the YMCA ( No, I do not think that means running...I think swimming and some Body workout). I do know if I get my 7 miles, I am happy. I have 31 miles this week.
Tired
Goodness I was tired. I mean pooped. That 11 miles took everything out of me yesterday. Wow. Well, I summoned whatever strength I had to finish this. After a one mile warm up, I ran a 52:30 for 7 miles. Again, I was tired. It was torture. There are so many times I hate running, but I do love what it does for me. I hate the lead up to the run, sometimes I hate the run, but afterward, the glow is nice. After a one mile cool down, I ended up with 9 miles today and 40 miles for the week. Not bad for running 5 days this week.

Tired, Just Tired
I am tired. I mowed, weeded and edged the lawn yesterday before my run. I thought, I am recovered from the last two days. Well, I guess not. I was tired during the run. I did run a 52:42 for 7 miles ( first mile at 7:42), but I felt it. I was going to ice last night, but toddler, cleaning house and work got in the way. Hopefully, I will not have dead leg before my run starts at 4:45 today.
Re: Clawing My Way Back
All of that yard work before your run...yikes! No wonder you were tired!
Hope your run today goes well.

Me Too
Yeah me too. For me, lately, it has been, just hang on until the end of the CD ( in this case, Ride the Lightning from Metallica, which is 47:24) and then hang on for 5 more minutes. My running has come down to that...LOL...I should be ok...

Gosh Dang It
I wanted to go easy. I did. Things just did not go as planned. First mile, 8 minutes. The next four, 30:15 for a 38:15 for 5 miles. Tomorrow, we have to go over family's house for dinner, so, the run will be at the YMCA. 7 miles will be the ticket. The legs sorta found life in the last 10 minutes. I do not seem so tired right now. Oh here is a cool tidbit. Friday will be a cool day for me. First, I go to work. LOL. Second, it is a lunch run, like tomorrow's will be. Third, I get to see Megadeth, my favorite band play. Fourth and the big last, I got to buy a VIP pass and have refreshments with the band, a special t-shirt and get to have fun. I am so happy. I have 12 miles this week.
Holy Not Winter Batman
I missed not one, but two days in a row. Two. I am a slacker. Goodness me. I ran 5 miles this morning as part of a double. The first mile was in 8:32 and the last four were in 30:18, with the last two at a 7:30 pace for a 39:00. It was hot, humid (79) and disgusting. Just wait for today's 7 miler. Lovely. Oh well, hydrate and move on. Tomorrow will be interesting. I am taking the day off to get my drivers's license done. My wallet was stolen ( yes, out of my office) two weeks ago and I need to replace the license. It will be a two hour wait, I just know it. I can do a 5 miler in the morning and a 7 miler early afternoon, or just do 10 miles altogether. I am going to a Megadeth concert at 4:30 pm (yes, I have VIP tickets, so very early) and get to have refreshments ( not sure what that means) and meet the band. I have to get my run done before I leave, so not sure how I will handle it. Right now, it is get the 7 miler done today. Should start at 4:55 pm. I have 17 miles this week.
Re: Clawing My Way Back
Hope you have a fun VIP experience with the band!

Ha Ha. Yes, they did. It was a great concert. Got to meet the guys. Nice night.
Where Have I Been?
Humm. Well, I think I left off at Saturday or Friday. Not sure. Ok, I ran only five days last week and got 35 miles. I ran a 52:30 for Friday before the concert and a 53:12 ( after an 8 minute first mile). That gave me 35 miles. Sunday, I ran a 54:30 after a 40 minute first 5 miles. Monday, rush day. 37:19 after a 7:42 first mile. Tuesday, day off. Today, 7 miles in the afternoon.
