Hoka One Bondi B video review
This might be of interest to someone out there. Your results may vary.
I had read all about these and thought I would give them a try.
So far I really like them, but we will see.
Some of the complaints I have read about them on other forums are from people who have never had them on their feet.
So . . . . anyway, here goes.

Re: Hoka One Bondi B video review
I was at a shoe store today to get some shoes for teaching and found out I am a size 12, NOT 12.5.
All my running shoes are 12, but I had it in my mind that they were 12.5.
So . . . the Hokas are actually a half size larger, but they fit fine - especially with my Powerstep arch inserts.
And, when running really long it will be good that they are a little larger because of possible foot swelling.
So they do look larger because they ARE larger!

So how are they on the roads? I don't have real easy access to trails, but I wonder about their use for the concrete jungle I am forced to run over most days.
Re: Hoka One Bondi B video review
I ran some on blacktop and I loved them.
They definitely make the ride less stressful on the joints and feet.
The Bondi B model is advertised for the road mainly, but many use them on trails.
They have a new model the Tarmac that they say is just for the road.
They are supposed to reduce the impact of running by 85% and I believe it.
They have a 4mm heel drop - so I am getting used to that too.
The Clymb has great prices now and then - I saw Hokas for $69 last week, but in very limited sizes.
I check there every day.

Michele:
I just went out and ran a fast (for me) 3 miles on the road and I thought they felt great.
I know this shoe is not for everyone, but I am expecting this to be my primary shoe.
I have been finding reports of 500- 800 miles in these shoes, so the price then is not so bad.
And sales can be found - plus the Boulder Running Company has a great return policy.

I also would suggest that you go to the above site and read the Hoka reviews - both men and women.
They look larger and are, but they are actually fairly light shoes.
YMMV

Re: Hoka One Bondi B video review
Thanks, Charles. Not sure I can wear the 4mm drop as that is probably how I actually hurt my achilles, but these are no really a "minimal" shoe and that contributed too (I'm guessing). I have a friend in Boulder - so I might have her pick up a pair for me.
