Fantastic work, Ounce! I was on the edge of my seat reading this!
Thanks for doing this. Looking forward to hearing everybody's stories now.
(And for the record, it's Oregonians.)

Re: Tracking 2015 Boston Marathon
It was neck and neck all day... Then Michele made her break, but I reeled her back in and had a mad dash to the finish. Photo finish showed a dead heat. Looks like we have to come back tomorrow and try it again...

Re: Tracking 2015 Boston Marathon
Funny reading! Nick told me about it this morning.
And for those of you who do not know, Nancy had a cardiac event during the race, finished, and was whisked off to Mass General. She will be there for a few more days for observation. Her daughter, Katie, is with her. That is all I know of right now - Nick may know more as both of us were in touch with her this morning. She is fine.

Re: Tracking 2015 Boston Marathon
Wow, I wasn't aware of that! Did anybody fly with her over to Boston? Hope so.
Glad that you liked the humor. Since Dot was just about the only other poster on this thread during the race, my imagination took over.
I did see about 9 people at one time on the boards during the race.
Hopefully, Mark and I can be part of the next Boston photo finish.

Oh my gosh! Glad she's okay. Hope Nick chimes in with more details, or better yet, Nancy.

Re: Tracking 2015 Boston Marathon
Feeling much better and I will be fine although my life will never be quite the same. They are going back in today to do a few things they weren't able to do on Monday so I'll be here a couple more days. Great hospital and fantastic doctors. They are going to hook me up with a cardiologist in Portland that works with athletes. The consensus is that my medical event started in the Newton hills. Pretty scary for a bit there. Thanks Nick and Michele for your offers to help.

Very happy to hear from you, Nancy. That'd have to be very scary, though you probably couldn't have picked a better place to have a medical event than Boston -- it has some of the best hospitals in the world. Recover well! And keep us posted when you can.

Re: Tracking 2015 Boston Marathon
Thanks for taking the time to track again, Oz. I'm not on the site much due to life in general, but I did enjoy meeting up with the good people at the Prudential food court again and meeting a few that I had not met in person before.
Sure hope Nancy can recover well, sounds like a scary deal.
My race went well. Took my time, took it all in, rain, wind, and everything else that is the Boston marathon.

You bet, Jon. I'm still perplexed why your time didn't get recorded at the 20K mark, I believe. Then you showed up at the Half and no problem after that. Re: Tracking 2015 Boston Marathon
I always knew that Miche1e had a kick, when she wanted to kick. I just didn't know she was kicking YOU. No WONDER on Jess' photo of you that you were WAY out of Miche1e's kicking range.Nick Morris wrote:It was neck and neck all day... Re: Tracking 2015 Boston Marathon
Thanks for all the well wishes...and thanks for the tracking also. As you probably all know I was extremely disappointed/frustrated/angry on race day and did not understand until much later the reason for my inability to move forward at a reasonable pace. Not what I had hoped for my one and only shot at Boston. That said I'm starting to realize just how lucky I was...had it not been for the quality if medical care available in the medical tent...
Moved into the hotel next to the hospital today and will be allowed to fly home on Sunday.
Great to finally meet up with some you as well.
