Pose Method Empty Pose Method

Anyone heard of the Pose Method or tried it? I found out that Nicolas Romanov will be doing a Pose Method clinic at Fleet Feet and though about going. I have a horrible heel strike, so I didn't know if anyone thought of this being beneficial.

Heard about it but never tried it. It's not so different from what folks try to accomplish by going barefoot. 

I'm with Michele. If you have the time to try it, go for it. It could be fun.

I've heard of it, but don't know what it actually is.
Agree---you have nothing to lose by learning more about it, and if you decide it's worth it, try it out.

I read up on this and you tubed it extensively years ago. It's not new. What I basically got out of it was to run with a mid to forefoot strike and doing it with a falling forward type of method. It seemed kind of weird. I'm all in on developing a more efficient stride, but came away with this method being a bit extreme.

I just got persuaded by an experienced trainer to run this way. I tried it in my latest 10K and it worked for me. I didn't know it was called Pose.

And if you're still shopping for a method, you might check out Chi Running.  I don't know anything about it other than it's a distance-leaning method.  The author of Chi Running was on a podcast and HIS explanation of the difference between Pose and Chi was Pose is constantly on the balls of your feet and Chi is not.

I don't know if that's true, but I throw it out there for whatever it is worth.  Just come back and tell us good or bad how what you choose is working for you.  Smile
