Chicago Marathon Dinner

Everyone, we would like to have a gathering of our running friends on Friday night, October 11th.

I wish I could make the road trip down, but I have a big 35 mile weekend of running

don't think you want my gang of 19 showing up.  Any post race plans for a quick beer?

There's a nice long lakefront to run them on and it would be a good short road trip for your new car!

Bummer, we'd love to see you for dinner! Yes, we usually meet up for post race beers at Sweetwater. I'm sure we can finalize details for post race as we get closer.

That is BRILLIANT, John! Nick - no excuses. You are going to be here for the dinner and then run the Lakefront. You and Martin can run together and I can head out on the bike with the Burley Bee!

Hmmmmmmmm...you do make a good point John.  My Saturday run would consist of only 14 miles or so...

Still here but already have obligations.  Where is Sweetwater for post-race?  What time do you plan to get there?

It's right on Michigan Avenue and we usually meet up post race (not sure on time). Dave-O usually has a good idea on the time. Dave-O? Oh, Dave-O?

Britt and I are in!  Sorry for the delayed response. 

I was actually planning to go to Howell's & hood this year instead of Sweetwater. New place (same ownership), incredible beer selection, breakfast buffet, awesome outdoor space.  Any objections to that?  I'll email them and get a few tables reserved and people can come and go as they please.

Lisa, Carol will be at the dinner. And the new place afterwards sounds good too, though by the time I've finished, you guys will have eaten and be ready to check out so I can take your table .

Howell's /Hood sounds great! I'm praying that we need jeans and SWEATSHIRTS / JACKETS for the outdoor space!!!

AWESOME! I was hoping you two were coming. I was going to reach out to you if I didn't hear from you.

I'm up for Howell's & Hood...I've never been and missed the chance to go when Chris was in town and also when my friend went while she was in town for business.
