Don't you dear spill the beans.
The USATF site was a little devious. They didn't broadcast the race, but they had the camera running - with the microphone turned on - during both the women's and men's races. Great performances out there!
Stop teasing me Mark! I have my ears plugged and eyes closed. UGH!!
I'll be good, Schuey. But it is worth staying up to watch.
Oh don't worry I'm staying up to watch it! Thanks for getting me pumped about it though.
I'll spill the beans: The winning time is 0.59 seconds ahead of 2nd.

So 200m, 400m and 1500m are on top today? Should be fun to watch.

Just saw the 5000 replay. Seriously, 2:50 for the last 1200m? Ridiculous! Solinsky is built like quarter miler, hadn't seen him run before.

Yeah that race was something else last night. So darn good we watched it again today.
Great 400m race Mcquay (Florida) 44.68 2nd fast time in the world so far this year!

Yeah buddy what a finish to the men's 1500m! Another awesome race to watch. The females 1500m was good also. That is all I will say in case you don't see it yet.

I haven't seen it, but I saw the results. Upset alert in the metric mile.
I found it interesting that Ryan Hall tweeted that he thought introducing gambling similar to horse racing would increase track's popularity.

Yeah I find that interesting coming from Ryan Hall also. Heck if they did that would be fun to bet on. Dave-O would love it!

I just wanted to point out that Desi PR'd in both the 5K and 10K. Sure she didn't make the top three in either, but she has run a marathon faster than any of the other ladies in those races.

Yeah see lead for a little in the 5000 last night but then dropped off. I still think that the marathon distance is her best. I think that she has a good chance of medaling at the Games. She is just so strong and has the mental toughness for the marathon. I like Shalane in the marathon also but I would think she will be running the 10000 at the games.

Boom. He's a stud, and a surprise. Turned it on at the right time of year. Finished 2nd in the NCAAs kind of out of nowhere. Almost made up for Demps. Almost.

Yeah he is a stud and I was a little surprised. He ran a great 400 today.

Of course, if he had run 44.68 3 weeks ago, we would have been national champs.

True but I think for him I bet he is glad he ran it today! All about peaking at the right time.

My website offers lines on the major marathons and the Olympic events. But yeah, live betting at the events would be fun.

Clearly you can gamble on just about anything. However, if you popularize wagering in T&F the corruption would start almost immediately. Considering that most T&F athletes don't make big money in their careers it would be pretty easy to payoff certain athletes to get a certain outcome. Not a fan of organized wagering on Track events, I guess.

I was going to say that as well. Corruption. But it would definitely give more exposure to the sport then again even bad publicity is good publicity! So they say!
