Chicago Marathon Gathering Restaurant

I scouted (2) restaurants and both are good.

I contacted Bella Bacinos, a pretty good Italian restaurant and was able to make reservations for 6:45.

I also contacted La Scarola, and I believe the Chicago gathering in 2007 was at this location. From what I remember, it was really good. I was able to make reservations for 6:30.

Please review these and vote. The place with the most votes wins. I will cancel the reservation on the losing location. The voting will take place until this Friday, September 30th.

Well it looks like La Scarola is the winner! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Here is a map of the location and I'm including the CTA Trip Planner link as well. All you do is plug your start address in and the address of the restaurant and it will tell you what to take. It looks like you will take the blue line to the Grand stop and then walk east a few steps. I just don't know what transfer trains are needed before linking up with the blue line, as it depends on where you're coming from.

Wish I was going to be there. Have a great time, everyone. I'll see some of you Saturday and a bunch more on Sunday.

Are we planning on signing any banners or anything at dinner? Any new ideas? Or just forgo it and enjoy the pasta?

Chicago, after the race.....meet in Grant Park at the "R" for 365 Runners and then take it from there?

'R' for beeR -anyone know if they will be having unlimited free beer again in the finisher's chute? It was greatly appreciated last year after that hot run.
