When I finish a run and plug the Garmin in to look at the data, I see something like 8 different zones with varying amounts of time spent in each one. This occurs in the absence of a HRM. Do any of you use this data, and if so, how?Garmin training zones 4044942068

If I'm not mistaken Jim, that data is speed (pace) data set at each zone. I haven't used the Garmin Training Center in a long time since I now use the Garmin Connect.

When I did use it one use way to use those zones was to make sure I was spending the time I wanted to in each zone for certain runs. Example would be if I was doing a recovery run I wanted most of my time being spent in that speed (pace) zone. It was a good way back when i was trying to get a better feel of each of my runs Recovery, Easy, Tempo and etc. to use that data to make sure I was doing the run I wanted to after the run was over.

Yep, they're pace zones. You can set them on the watch or on your program (Training Center).
