Your Week in Training Apr 6 - 12

Mon     5  easy  71°F
Tue     8  easy  64°F
Wed    10  easy  47°F
Thu     8  aero  47°F
Fri     - 
Sat     9  easy  60°F
Sun    10  race  53°F Cherry Blossom 9.x Mile 1:09:xx*
Week   50            *
Mike & I started together. I faded at 3 miles. But Mike held
YTD   625            
a 6:35 pace through the finish. But it wasn't ten miles.
An early morning car accident and police investigation closed our path over the Kutz Bridge (between Washington & Jefferson memorials), thus cutting the race distance by ??? Otherwise perfect race conditions!

I heard 9.5 miles from others that ran, Kevin.  Maybe next year I'll be back.

Mon - Day off
Tues - 6 miles with Speedwork - 2K, 1mile, 1K, 800m; Trainer
Wed - Easy 5 recovery miles
Thurs - 5 miles with 3 @ tempo pace (7:49, 7:47, 7:38)  Warm 65F and very humid 99% (just stopped raining)
Fri - Day off, Trainer
Sat - 10 hilly miles.  Fastest on that loop since 2004
Sun - 6 recovery miles with one good hill

WTD:  32 miles

Had a good race, so I guess I have to post here this week.

M - .9mi.  Yes, POINT NINE.  Gym
T - off
W - off
Th - Gym
F - off
S - 1.5mi + gym + 1.5mi
S - 11ish mi w/ 9.55mi race in the Cherry Blossom "10" Mile Run.  Watch said 6:34 pace, official stats say 6:35.  Either way, much better than the 7min pace I'd hoped for.

would love to do the Cherry Blossom some day.

Mon - 8 easy
Tue - 10 with strides
Wed - 12 with 2@6:55, 4@6:40, 4@6:25 - tough run but last super hard one before Bos.  
Thu - 0
Fri - 7 with strides
Sat - 7 with 6x800 @ 3:05 w/2min rest.  Thought this would be a bit easier.  Ha.
Sun - 11 easy

Week 56
YTD  980

Well, here we go.  Final prep week.  See some of you next weekend.
