Re: Your Week in Training Aug 5 - 11
Walking definitely counts, Julie! Nice job.
Me, I'm still taking it easy, though my ankles seem to be fine now. Woot!
Mon: Rest
Tue: Fooling around on the beach (barefoot), jumping around on rocks.
Wed: 1 mile or so walking on a coastal trail, playing on rocks, etc.
Thu: Rest
Fri: 3.3 miles barefoot, mostly easy with a speedy finish
Sat: Rest
Sun: 8.3 miles low HR (in new shoes)
Week: About 12.5 miles

Texas tax free weekend on school supply, cloth, shoes etc. $260 spent on two pairs of training shoes, socks, singlet, and shorts, guess I have to keep running.

Re: Your Week in Training Aug 5 - 11
bummer week.
have been recovering from a right hamstring issue and it was coming along nicely. Planning on running the 10 mile Crim this Sat followed by Chi.
went on a houseboat vacation with the family on Lake Cumberland in KY. Found some nice hilly runs.
Thu nite for my last water ski of the week I popped my left hamstring. No more running. Hobbled through Mammoth Cave on Fri. Feel somewhat better today but still have to limp around.
Damn.
Was a great vaca though.

"Popped" and "hamstring" are two words that should never be in the same sentence....mountandog wrote:bummer week.
