Not a drop down here, so enjoy what you got.
Today was day 71 over 100 degrees, without a drop of rain that whole time. Awful.

I think there have been 2 or 3 days where it "dropped" to 99 or 98, so probably 71 out of the last 74 days. And the 10 day forecast shows 100+ every day.

I'm not sure I can tell the difference any more.

Re: It's Raining!
We finally stopped our streak yesterday at 24 days of 100+...34-35 for the year! But the 100+ is back today as it is supposed to be 102 but drier than it has been....YIPPPIIIIEEEE!!!
I could actually tell a difference on my run this morning as I was 20-25 secs faster than I have been due to a 10% drop in humidity! GO AWAY HUMIDITY AND DO NOT COME BACK!

I remember last year you saying it wasn't too bad down here in Texas! Are you still sure you would take this heat over Vermont's winters? I mean 71 days in a row of 100+, that is just INSANE!!!!

Oh, I never said I prefer summers to winters. I LOVED running during the winter - cold weather, a little ice on the face, falling snow. I'll take that any day.
But this isnt as bad as you guys made it out to be. I've still been running outside every day this summer, despite the heat. You have to just power through it.
71 days is insane, but I have a feeling we'll end up over 80. The all time record WAS 69 (set in the 1950's) so every day is another record.
Oh, and tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest day of the summer so far - close to 110!

I think you are in denial (or the heat has fried your brains) if you think it is not that bad to run through this crap.
Hmm, maybe it was the no water comment you said when you were back in Vermont. I remember you saying something along the lines of I don't need to run with water or that you didn't need to run with very much water when it was hot and I do remember that statement...don't you have a 50oz camelbak now?
I was hoping our record would end after August just so I could say it lasted all of August...with the rain that Houston (not Katy where I live) got yesterday the OFFICIAL high temp was 94....I am both happy and sad because I like the cooler temp but today's temp is supposed to be 102 and Saturday/Sunday is 105-107 now and it is forecasted 100+ until Sept 1st at the earliest. Our all time record is 109!!!

Re: It's Raining!
What an irony that Vermont has a hurricane to contend with for the weekend.
I agree with Joel that it was drier this morning and that's a good thing!
