Favorite Five Songs Of All Time
What are yours? Let us get the debate going. ....
Me:
1. Bridge Over Troubled Waters- Art Garfunkel. I love this song. I know I am a metalhead, but this song gets to me deep.
2. True Companion-Marc Cohn- Reminds me of my wife. Very deep and touching song. Amazing. Amazing.
3. More Than A Feeling- Boston. This song takes you up and down and around. Just a strong feeling song.
4. China Grove- Doobie Brothers- I love love this song. The groove is just kicking.
5. Roll On Down The Highway-BTO-Man, this song rocks. I mean just rocks.

Re: Favorite Five Songs Of All Time
Why all these threads about top five songs, albums, worst albums, etc.?
I thought real runners didn't run with music.

Re: Favorite Five Songs Of All Time
There is no way that I could just pick five...and definitely could not pick a #1

Re: Favorite Five Songs Of All Time
I do and race with music. I have been running for so long...I feel like I have earned it. If that makes me not a real runner, oh well. LOL
Re: Favorite Five Songs Of All Time
The debate about running with or without music and being a real runner was one of those subjects that would fire up the masses over at Hal's.
I will train with music, but typically will race without.
I think the whole debate is stupid as long as someone is out running, who cares if they listen to music?
Guess I should have put a emoticon in the post.

Re: Favorite Five Songs Of All Time
oooo that's a hard one to list. I have so many but all from different genres! Depends what mood I'm in! And what year it is! When I was 7 it was Thriller. When I was 21, it was probably White Zombie. Now it's Eminem or something. AHHHHH

5 "lose yourself" by eminem
4 "kashmir" by led zepplin
3 "blues jam" by the rollins band
2 "black steel in the hour of chaos" by public enemy
1 "black" by pearl jam
and i agree that we call a cease fire on the music running debate. a new board, a new way!

Re: Favorite Five Songs Of All Time
As others have said, subject to frequent and immediate change:
5. Debaser - Pixies
4. Rocket - Smashing Pumpkins
3. I Am Trying To Break Your Heart - Wilco
2. Freebird - Skynyrd
1. Last Goodbye - Jeff Buckley
#6 (for now) would probably be Everything in its Right Place (Radiohead).
