BACM 2014
I ran Chicago on Sunday. I was in town for a conference starting Wednesday afternoon, visited family, ran the race, did some more visiting, and headed home to CT this afternoon. Great trip, and a great race.
I had a really solid training cycle and ran this with my buddy Steve. We ran MCM together last year, and Chicago in '08, on a hot day. This was a lot more fun.
We stuck together the whole way, paced it really well, and finished happy in 4:06 on a beautiful day.
It was all good!

Good job, Michael. If you ever want to learn how to type more and say nothing, let me know.

Congrats Michael. It's always good to get a marathon in when you are in town for other reasons!

Thanks Julie - the entire trip was very successful and a lot of fun! I love Chicago (my home town, and I've missed it these last 22 years, though I love CT, too).

Thanks Oz. I used to write longer race reports, but I found that it didn't make me any faster!

Thanks John. I love it when a plan comes together! This was quite the chain of hopping from one thing to another from Wednesday morning until yesterday afternoon, but everything worked out nicely, and I had a wonderful time with a good friend on a beautiful Sunday to boot!

Thanks Alex! I hope you are doing well. I was thinking about you the other day, because I signed up for Cape Cod as my backup race this year, though I doubt I'll run it, and I remember your Chowdah Challenge (I think that was '11).

Thanks everyone! Of course, after burning the candle at both ends for about a week, I now have a lousy cold. Hey, it was worth it!

Glad that you had a great race!!! I experienced a head cold after my race, too. Looks like our bodies were focused on other things than fighting off germs
