R.I.P. Eddie
Just a few yards from the finish line of the Valley 5K in Bristol, CT, the unthinkable happened. This was the race that I was helping to organize & manage. Eddie did a face plant into the asphalt from sudden cardiac arrest. Firemen/ EMTs were there & worked on him almost immediately as his family, my wife & son, & many other runners looked on. I'm still very sad & in a daze over it, but I live with the peace of knowing my eternal destiny when it's my time.
