RuScribe Device
This looks like it can gather a lot more metrics than anything we runners currently have available.

Re: RuScribe Device
I did a search, but came up with nothing. And it's not April 1st. So, um, eh?

I think it has a lot of potential if it's accurate/durable/reliable. Would be nice to see them figure out an algorithm for power (watts) based on the metrics, which should be possible. That'd give a very accurate estimate of calories burned, as well.

One of the interesting things is if you pay a certain amount you can get all of the raw data. I think the right person could work with a good programmer to derive all kinds of useful data. I like the idea that running stores may be able to use it to evaluate if a shoe will work for a customer. That would be great instead of buying shoes to later find out they don't work well for some reason.Mike MacLellan wrote:I think it has a lot of potential if it's accurate/durable/reliable. This product looks pretty neat. Being a data geek, it would be great to analyze my runs and running in general, even more than what my Garmin can do.

If you have time to analyze at work, get a life.
If you spend time to analyze after work, move your lazy ass outdoor and run instead.
