My First 50 at the Indiana Trail 100/50

Congrats on completing your first 50, Tim. And doing so in such adverse conditions added something to the mix as well. Almost had a similar scenario in my first 50 a couple falls ago. But the rain stayed off to the west which would really have been quite a quagmire.

Glad it worked out for the best for you. Your finish time is really impressive given the situation. If you end up doing another one or a 100 best of luck!

Tim...W.O.W !!!!!!!!! It almost began to sound very adventuresome...to the point of almost intriguing HOWEVER when I saw the videos...NOPE, the idea has totally left my brain You and Wendy are amazing. Way to freaking go!

Congratulations on your first 50 and on your 7th place finish! You totally rock! You definitely proved you have what it takes to run 100. Way to tough it out in those conditions! I think I would both laugh and cry about running an ultra in that kind of weather.

Brutal. Absolutely. I don't know if finishing in those conditions is insane or commendable. Probably both. And you really nailed it. This sets you up nicely for the JFK50. It's not as beastly. No stream crossings anyway. And while the weather can be just as bad, in expectation it's not nearly as inclement. Keep running into a Brave New World this summer and fall.
