I have a friend that is in the market for a Garmin 305. Can anyone tell me where he could get the best deal?

It's not Amazon. Last year they were $145, now they're almost full retail at $274. (Garmin must've run out of broken ones they could refurb and sell as new.)

here you go for $145 rolling the dice on vendor though however, the rating is good. See if Garmin warranty comes with it

I think you missed the boat on this one at least finding a new one under $200.
