Without knowing the details, I'd have to say that I was a little disturbed...

"What she lacks in sight, she more than makes up for in heart." Ugh.
Re: I don't know how to feel about this
While this young girl obviously has a lot of mental toughness, there's no way this could have been good for physically. If she struggled that much to maintain a 32 minute/mile pace, she shouldn't have been out there.

Regardless of her disability, I just don't think kids should run marathons. Let them be kids.
Re: I don't know how to feel about this
There's a statement & a photo of her mother physically holding her up & helping her. When does that ever count? Would anyone else think it's worth completing a race if someone else had to hold you up? They put that poor girl through that grueling experience & she can't even say she did it on her own legs. I sure hope she's able to fully recover from it.

yeah I don't know either.......... I certainely hope she is recovering fine. If she doesn't have any long term damage and I pray she doesn't,it could be a huge boost for her mentally . I could not have pushed my child like that at all she was clearly suffering ,it's really hard to judge though it might have helped her accomplish more things in her her life .Let's all hope for the best:D
