Sorry to hear that Jim!
According to the NBC commentators...they seem to feel that the heat isn't an issue since the humidity is so low. I say...run a mile in their shoes and then make that comment. Sheesh.

The heat on the ground in the last 10 miles with the buildings and asphalt makes it much warmer than the actual temp.
Congrats to Mosop and Shobukhova, pure domination!!

Sorry to hear this, Jim. Two words for you: Grand Rapids.
G$ still looking good as he is almost done, and the Millers are hanging in there.

I had a nice easy 10 miles this morning, but racing especially longer distance, the price will be paid. The announcer should know better.

They're so dumb! Yeah, it's beautiful for the spectators, who are all in shorts / t-shirts! If the people watching don't need long sleeves to just stand out there, it's way too hot to run.

I am sure they don't want to announce the severity of the situation as it is not good for Chicago Marathon. So they down play it quite a bit.

Re: tracking chicago
Greg is in at 2:43 - I know he won't like that, but given the day, it was a solid run.
Re: tracking chicago
Strubbe's got to be just coasting to finish and call it a day. Surprised he did not duck out at some point.
Re: tracking chicago
Wendy has lost lots of asphalt 8:24 pace last 5k at 35k projecting 3:16. Heats got to be getting to them plus the sun is booming out there!
Re: tracking chicago
Dave at 40k @7:54 pace. Hope he is just jogging in without too much hurt.
Wendy slow down to 8:24. Hope she can hang on for a PR.

I think he needed to finish for him - regardless. A mental thing.
