Sorry to hear that Jim!

According to the NBC commentators...they seem to feel that the heat isn't an issue since the humidity is so low. I say...run a mile in their shoes and then make that comment. Sheesh.

Tim is slowing down, est 2:53, very good giving the temperature.

Chris is at 7:06 @30k, 7:34@35k, sub 3 is out.

The heat on the ground in the last 10 miles with the buildings and asphalt makes it much warmer than the actual temp.

I had a nice easy 10 miles this morning, but racing especially longer distance, the price will be paid. The announcer should know better.

They're so dumb! Yeah, it's beautiful for the spectators, who are all in shorts / t-shirts! If the people watching don't need long sleeves to just stand out there, it's way too hot to run.

I am sure they don't want to announce the severity of the situation as it is not good for Chicago Marathon. So they down play it quite a bit.

Wendy has lost lots of asphalt 8:24 pace last 5k at 35k projecting 3:16. Heats got to be getting to them plus the sun is booming out there!
