Greg seems to handle heat better in my memory. Good time!

I think he needed to finish for him - regardless. A mental thing.
I am sure he has his reasons. He can't catch a break it seems. Time to pick a November dec race.

He is married now and doesn't want people response to Brit: your husband did not finish?

Re: tracking chicago
The broadcasting is all talk no running. They need to take lessons from the way NYC does it. Elites are great to watch but also seeing sub elites etc come in with their reaction is wonderful to see. Most people can relate to the 2:45-4hr runner not the 2:05's.

If I hear one more time "This fantastic weather" I am going to ... boycott Chicago!
Fantastic if I am sipping colorful drinks at a backyard BBQ!

John had planned to bail going into the race. Race a marathon a different weekend. Details are in his blog.

Pete B. is possibly walking backwards. Can't imagine how he must be feeling. Hope he is ok!
Egge is doing well losing some ground but still strong.

Randy likes the heat, and this is not a goal race. After all, the crazy man just finished an ironman and he is running NYC!

Besides, his Ironman events always warmer, so he is getting used to it.

No updates for John Pirog since 15k??
Yesterday John P stated on his blog he was going to stop at 12 miles and wait for Grand Rapids.
It is warm, I just got back from a planned 14 miler and shut down around 12.5, I could just imagine on that asphalt in the city it has to be hot. Another tough day...

He is from a totally different mold then many of us. Something might be wrong with him.

If he keeps moving like he is, it will be close to a PR. And I believe Jerry is correct in that Tim ran a PR! I have to go to the airport now - drat.

Yeah, he's a beast in the heat. I think he ran 2:46 or something like that in 2007. I'm sure he was trying to beat 2:40, and held it together fairly well in the last 12k.
Agree with the talk, talk, talk..... sheesh... show the runners.

Randy 8:30pace at 40k, pretty good.
Wendy is 2k from her first Chicago 3:22 estimate finish time is not bad at all, giving the day.

No, he's not and shouldn't be. I hope he chooses to run another marathon in the next two months. He'll break 3:00. There's no question he has the speed and fitness.
Sixty Friggin 5 at the start???!!!! Was that right??? I thought it was going to be in the 50's.

Nick, can't find tracking on the website yet. Not my fault.
I couldn't find anything on that website, either.
