Is this going to get moved to the Running Gear folder . . . I digress

Anyone else use Muscle Rescue by Peaceful Mountain? http://peacefulmountain.com/store/muscle.php I am a big fan and give it my personal stamp of approval. I was looking for a topical ARNICA gel to use on sore muscles and was recommended Muscle Rescue. I have found it provides great relief to problem areas - like my right calf. If you use any other topical muscle ointment like Bio-Freeze, Tiger Balm, Ben Gay etc . . . I would suggest giving Muscle Rescue a try. They sell it in Memphis at our Whole Foods and any natural living type store.

Their description: Natural herbal gel for tense or over-worked muscles

Traditionally, the herbs in Muscle Rescue have been used to relax muscles and allow for the release of tension and blockage so that proper flow can clear the residuals from over use. They have been used for their analgesic and muscle fiber mending qualities to relieve pain and ensure sound repair. This water-based gel absorbs quickly into the skin, is non-greasy, unscented, paraben-free and will not stain clothes.

So this works better? faster? than Arnica gel? Have you tried Trameel?

I'm going to check out my Whole Foods to see if they have it. Thanks for the tip.

The herbal formula includes arnica. Sorry - should have made that point in OP. Contains comfrey, arnica, white willow, witch hazel and aloe.

Do you think it would help alleviate fatigue-based cramps?

I love the idea that this is unscented. I'm tired of the same ole eucalypta-mint stuff or anything perfume-y

I would say yes based on my experiences. I will get calf cramps in the summertime after 20 milers and the two times I have run Chicago ('08 & '10). The lingering pain - a day or two later - is certainly alleviated by Muscle Rescue. I think if you have a problem area or three it would help.

I've used Tendon Rescue in the past and I liked it. We have switched to using Traumeel, a topical ointment that we found at Whole Foods and it works wonders! We haven't tried the gel version just the ointment version. Our podiatrist uses it as well and she gives shots of the liquid version.
