How many brands do you wear?
This isn't worthy of a poll, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.
As I was walking back to my house after my run this morning, I noticed that I was wearing a different brand for every article of clothing. There were Brooks shoes, Nike shorts, Asics singlet, Garmin watch.
Does anyone buy clothing according to brand, like we do for shoes? Or are you like me, whatever looks and feels good?

For the most part it is what ever looks and feels good. Mizuno is my shoe of choice, but I have a mix match of different brands for everything else...

1 for shoes. Asics only.
Everything else, I don't care. Whatever is cheap and serves its purpose. I do have a Garmin.

Shoes - Nike only
Shorts - Nike only, but only because its what I get from my team and the Nike outlet store is closest to my parents lakehouse.
Shirts - whatever races include in the swag bag.

Re: How many brands do you wear?
I am very simple. Garmin watch. iShuffle, but now I use a Sony MP3 thing and sometimes iPhone to listen Sirius.
Shoes, I could only fit 1-2 and have Asics GT-2160 and DS-Trainer, and Saucony Pro Omin 10, then of cause Nike Lunar Racers for races.
Clothes: I bought on purpose Boston official Adidas singlet and short and New York official Asics(not a good one). Then the rest are pretty random ones.
Funny, this past weekend we were buying soccer gears for our daughter and she couldn't match with the same brand. Luckily she didn't mind. I was thinking maybe I should buy a Nike singlet and short to match Lunar Racers for races.

Mizuno shoes. I don't really pay attention to the brand for other stuff.

Slightly off topic, but my current pet peeve is that nobody (mainly the wife) reminds me to check if shorts have pockets before I buy them. Man, I hate shorts without pockets.

I am like you, except I don't worry how it looks! Headed out the door last week with a bright red shirt and an aquamarine running cap. Oh, well...

Re: How many brands do you wear?
I only wear Asics for shoes. I tried another brand once and started getting knee aches, so back to Asics for me. For everything else, I'll wear whatever. Mostly I have Nike, C9, and Adidas, but I don't have any brand loyalty--whatever looks good and isn't overpriced.

Inside or outside pockets? Most running shorts come with an inside pocket these days.

I almost always park my car by the trails, and carry a single car key with me, so some kind of small pocket for a key, whether on inside or outside, is a must. I haven't seen many shorts without one in a long time.

Re: How many brands do you wear?
Mostly Nike (no surprise there), but I wear WrightSocks.
Have worn a Garmin, but am now enjoying the breeze on my naked wrist. No tan lines!

Re: How many brands do you wear?
I used to buy only Asics shoes. Now I rotate shoes among 3 brands - still searching for that perfect shoe. For clothes, I get whatever is reasonably priced. One thing you'll always see me wear is a smile.
Re: How many brands do you wear?
Brand loyalty only extends to shoes. Everything else is whatever, since I'm just going to get it gross and sweaty anyway.

At least you remember to put on shorts before your run.
I am not really stuck with a brand for shoes or gear. For shoes I try to find something lighter that feels good on my feet. I currently have NB, Nike and Saucony shoes. For running shorts, who needs them

Adidas shoes = pain free running. Most everything else is generic/no label.

Re: How many brands do you wear?
Shoes - Brooks. They fit my feet well.
Shorts - I think I only have Asics right now, but that's not a loyalty thing.
Watch - Garmin.
Socks - Powersox (I think that's the name?)
Shirt - Race shirts or t-shirts.

Re: How many brands do you wear?
I wear Asics Kayano's for shoes because my ankles and achillies are messed up from past injuries. I do race in Nike Lunaracers though. Everything else is whatever is on sale for the most part.

Yeah, that seems about right. Mostly shoes and everything else is kind of a mish mosh of whatever happens to be cheap and fit well.

Re: How many brands do you wear?
I have a lot of Adidas clothing and still some Adidas shoes as they were sponsoring our team for the last couple of years, but we did not renew our contract. I've also got lots of Nike and some Reebok (Peachtree sponsor) clothing.
As for shoes, I still have Adidas racing shoes that I like along with a pair of Nike Pegasus trainers that I still like and several pair of Brooks Launch and Defyances.
No real loyalty. I buy what I like and fits right.

Re: How many brands do you wear?
I use Brooks shoes, RaceReady shorts, generic after that.
By the way - RaceReady just updated their web site and are offering a 20% discount for a week.
Here is the info from their FaceBook page.
If you were thinking about trying their RaceReady shorts with the pockets like I use for every run, this is a good time to try them and save. I use the Easy LD shorts - not too short - the pockets are great.
Hi there RaceReady facebook fans! As some of you noticed, we launched a new consumer site on Tuesday this week. We made significant usability upgrades and hope that you enjoy your new shopping experience. Please use the discount code NEWSITE through September 5th to receive a 20% discount off of your order at checkout!
Best regards,
