Ranks... Are they good?

Does anyone like ranking members based on some criteria like post count?

I'm indifferent. I like seeing a post count but don't need to see ranks or stars.

Can I get credit for my 15,000?

+1 for post count. "Member since" date will say a lot more than a rank based on post count, too, I think.

Dave-O, I can't override post count. I checked.

Mike, I think I'll just leave it 'as-is'. Join date matters, but the quality of a post has little to do with how many posts a new member has made. Right? Some new members might have far more experience/knowledge than their post count would indicate.

I think post count is enough. I dont really need little stickers or badges to validate me.

Saying, "I'm an Expert Runner on HH's boards. ... I've got lots of stars too," wasn't really working with the ladies, so I'm fine with just a post count and join date.
