I'm the lightweight around here as usual; however, I needed the easier week to make sure that I'm ready to get going for NY. This coming week will not be big miles either as I have a small, short, but difficult race on Saturday morning (and a 400 m swim).



Mon - Easy 2.5 miles recovery
Tues - Easy 5 miles with striders; core work
Wed - 5 miles with 8 x 1:45 on/1 min off
Thurs - 21 miles cycling, 3 easy miles with a friend. Then we lost power, so I couldn't swim.
Fri - 13 miles in the disgusting heat and humidity, Drank 24 oz of cytomax and still lost 2 lbs. I was drenched before I hit the lake.
Sat - 6 miles easy
Sun - 32 mile ride

Totals for the week: 34.5 miles running (step back and recovery); 53 miles cycling

Week 5 of Fall 5K buildup...

Had a 3-day weekend upNorth eating, drinking beer, eating some more and boating on Torch Lake. Managed to get some pretty good runs in the hills, in between all of that. Oh yea, it was hot for every run last week...

Mon: Easy: 11 mile run
Tue: am: 7 miles; pm: 5.2 Miles w/6x150 hills
Wed: am: 8.2 Miles in 57:44 [7:02 per mile], pm: 4 Miles in 26:20 [6:35 per mile] I think this was the hottest day I have ever run on...
Thu: Easy run; 10 Miles
Fri: am: 6.4 Miles in 43:23 [6:46 per mile], pm: 4.7 Miles in 32:05 [6:49 per mile]
Sat: Long Run; 13.3 Miles in 1:30:03 [6:46 per mile]
Sun: Easy run; 5 Miles in 40:14 [8:02 per mile]

Week: 74.8
YTD: 1831.7
