Re: Your Week in Training July 23 - 29
KB, looks like the job is more intense than expected?
Julie, nice, solid week
Nick, I wasn’t expecting any rest days in your log after that commercial!
Mike, I don’t think “grueling” and “recovery run” belong in the same sentence
Kenny, nice 5K there in the warmer weather
For me, finally a stepback week after lots of base training, and it helped me a lot. I treated it as a third taper week with rest every other day as my legs were getting pretty tired and I want to start a new program in good shape. I start a 16 week training program on Monday for Philadelphia.
Mon - rest
Tue – 5.2 miles
Wed - rest
Thu – 7.5 miles MP
Fri - rest
Sat – 12 miles progression
Sun – rest
Week – 24.4 miles
YTD – 1,475 miles

Re: Your Week in Training July 23 - 29
5th week, July 23-29:
Monday: Rest
Tuesday: AM: 5
Wife drove Lucy to soccer practice instead, thus I didn't run in the PM. However,
Wednesday: 12
Thursday: 12
To show how steady Jerry runs, the time difference between last two 12 miles is just 4 seconds.
Friday: 5
Should've run more, but I have a meeting at 9:00am and need to drive Lucy to her Summer Camp.
Saturday: Lazy. Well, got up a little late, had time, but dam Olympics.
Sunday: no run, soccer scrimmage.
Weekly: 34
Lets call it a step back week then.
