Re: Your Week in Training Mar 16 - 22
Late start today Kevin?
Well this was a pretty good week overall for me. First time ever to 90 miles for a week. This cycle has been about 20% higher volume wise than my successful CIM cycle. 6 weeks in a row above 70 miles. Way more than ever before. We shall see if it has any benefit. Have to admit I'm looking forward to the taper.
Mon - 22 (pushed normal Sunday LR to Monday to accommodate an additional workout last week)
Tue - 4 recovery
Wed - 9 with strides
Thu - 14 2 miles of uphill/downhill 800 repeats followed by a 6 mile MP tempo
Fri - 9 easy
Sat - 9/5 double
Sun - 18 hilly route
Week 90.5
YTD 776

Re: Your Week in Training Mar 16 - 22
While Michael is running mega miles, I am not. I'll get to Boston one way or another as I'm not hurt, but I'm definitely a bit undertrained endurance-wise,
Mon - Day off, stuck in NY, so I didn't get back until midday
Tues - Easy 6.3 miles in the early morning before driving (halfway) to Atlanta
Wed - Day off finished drive
Thurs - 5 miles in the rain with 15 30 sec pickups, felt pretty good considering last Sunday was a race
Fri - 12.1 easy miles
Sat - 6.3 miles
Sun - 13.1 miles done at MP with a fast finish over the very hilly Publix GA Half Marathon course. Legs felt it near the end, but still finished strong.
WTD: 42.8 miles
If I can't get in the long runs, I might as well run quality miles on tired legs.

Y'all have me beat.
M - 2hr30min bike
T - 6.6mi - knee pain = 2/10
W - 4.4mi - knee pain = 5/10
Th - off
F - off
S - 50k... first ever DNF at mile 8 - knee pain = 6/10
S - off
Week - laughable.
I probably won't be in these threads for the next few weeks.

Speaking of laughable, Mike...
Mon: Sinuses killing me... dawns on me that it might actually be allergies.
Tue: Start snorting Flonase, hope for relief... eventually.
Wed: Slight improvement, walked 2.4 miles
Thu: Bigger improvement, got excited and climbed a mountain! No, really. 10.1 trail miles, fairly technical, 2,600+ feet climbing, much time with heart rate touching the red zone.
Fri: Sinuses much better, but my quads? Not so much.
Sat: Still walking funny. Suspects maybe Thursday's outing might have been a tad overambitious.
Sun: Quads no longer sore to the touch. (Progress!) But still an extra rest day.
Week: 12.6 miles
