Just a Philly Weather Thread!
Can I escape the windy conditions already?
As of now : 44 to 53 cloudy and breezy 13 mph NE winds with 21mph gusts. (Temps are great and wind is better than an east wind, but not ideal)
Update from Underground 9 to 13 mph winds. Getting more acceptable.
I'll use underground weather until it gets closer than switch to weather.com as I find them the most accurate.

Next update in a few hours.

Keep them coming, every hour even better
Kenny, do you think logistically there will be any issues? I noticed they added 3,000 spots for NYC marathoners. Last time I ran Philly, the corrals were fairly crowded though once you get past a few miles, it was good.

Yes, I do. The first 1-2 miles could be a bitch weaving in and out. I found the first water station always to be tough to get to as well which comes at mile 2.
So my suggestion (which I did last year) I will carry an 8oz (small) water for the first 2 miles. I tend to not drink enough water in the early stages so this helps plus I can avoid the crowds at the first water stop.
Also, I like to start at the front of the corral vs. the back to let people pass me vs. me passing people. It helps a little bit. Thing in philly the streets are a bit narrow at the start for the # of people in the corrals.
But, don't let this by any means be of worry. Just be mindful.

Re: Just a Philly Weather Thread!
For you guys who have run this before, is there any good way for spectators to get to the back half of the course and still make it to somewhere near the finish? I'm thinking they'll be able to see me at 1, 6, and 13 for sure, but then it'll be another 1:40 or so until I finish with them just waiting around. If there's a way for them to get out to see me around miles 18/21, that would be perfect.

Shit Jim, I'm lucky I get to see my wife at the finish line let alone at mile 1,6, and 13. Some races I see her back at the hotel.
Re: Just a Philly Weather Thread!
Having run it several times, the locations you mention are where my wife looks for me. Without a car, I am not sure it's easy to get out past 13 since it's mostly an out and back.

Weather update - 39 to 47 temps, 5 to 9 NE Winds, Partly Cloudy ( All looks really good, prefer a North wind vs. East wind if I am going to be picky!)
Next update will be using weather.com as I feel it is most accurate, plus I'll get hour by hour!
