Re: Summer Weight Loss Challenge
Hate to admit that I must participate once again as I head down to racing weight for the fall.
Current: 139.5
Goal: 133.5
I need to be realistic here. Can I really maintain a weight under 133? For a few weeks, yes, but otherwise it's constant work and I'm not sure that I want to work that hard. Losing 6 pounds will make a huge difference for my goal races this fall, but I need to give myself a bit of slack around the holidays. Blah blah blah, just making excuses. Whatever.
Going for 6 pounds.......AGAIN!
Current: 139.5
Goal: 133.5

Re: Summer Weight Loss Challenge
Holy Crap.. 146 this morning.
I hadn't weighed before I signed up for this challenge, I just guessed. Apparently I guessed way low. I know I've done a good job with my diet and exercise plan this week and I FEEL like I'm making progress. I guess I have more work to do than I thought to get to my target.
Thanks for doing this Reina! When I first signed up for this challenge a few years ago, it helped me lose 25 pounds...I gained 10 back and I need to re-lose them.

Re: Summer Weight Loss Challenge
Amazing what actually having a regular running schedule and not eating out 6 or 7 times a week will do. 163.2 this morning.

Darn you Tim you are already at my goal weight! Do you find it harder, easier or the same to lose the weight during your Tri training?

It's all relative. I find it to be the same since I still have the same eating problem. I read something yesterday that I think identifies my primary problem. Your dinner meal should be the smallest meal of the day since you don't have an upcoming activity that requires fuel. I have to change my mindset because I think of dinner as the largest meal of the day. Two more weeks to my HIM so I really have to hunker down now.

Thanks for sharing that point about dinner and it makes sense. I would have to change my mind set about dinner also. By the way good luck on your HIM! You have been training pretty darn hard for it and I hope you have a great race. I look forward to reading your report if you put one up on it.

Dot, I feel your pain!
However, I'm happy to report that I finally saw a downward trend this week! After my long run yesterday, which was also after a bunch of water and chocolate milk, I dipped under 140!
Today I weighed 140.2! I had already eaten breakfast before weighing so I figure it's a good solid almost 140!!! I haven't been under 142 forever! Just seeing a drop does a ton for me in terms of motivation and encouragement.

149
this a.m. but lower than it was earlier this week (I'm not going to post tenths of a pound because it would drive me crazy, I think, but I have lost a little this week, I just say that so you know I'm happy with this week).

Gonna have to work hard to get there. Surgery on the Left Achilles Tendon is in the near future Tha's going to make exercise a little more difficult.

Still stuck on 174, but with training in full gear and the summer months upon us, I am looking to break through that wall and down to sub 170 soon!!
