Where to run in Tampa? Empty Where to run in Tampa?

I'm in taper and heading to Tampa, hopefully, for Wednesday evening through Friday morning. I'll be staying down by the convention center, with a jam-packed schedule, but may get an hour here or there to sneak in a run. Any good places to run that are convenient to that area?

If the Convention center is where I think it is, then it is at the start/finish area of the Gasparilla 15K race, so you can run along the causeway/water to the island and back. Pleasant and flat. Just Google Gasparilla 15K, and there should be a map.

Thanks Michele!

I ran Gasparilla (the half) a few years ago, so I vaguely recall running on Davis Island (in the dark, because it started real early), and running an out and back down Bayshore, which is along the water. I think I'll stick with that, as you suggest.

I spent quite a bit of time at the Embassy Suites right there. It's a pretty good area to run, actually. Definitely cross the bridge (runs under the convention center) and head down Bayshore.
