ADVERTISEMENT: Orders being accepted for Your First Marathon
OK all, apologies if these ads get annoyiong, but as a devoted son, I feel I need to whore myself out for my dad's book. I'm actually quite proud of him (shhhh - don't tell him), and his book (a rewrite of his first book from many years ago, with a whole new second half on all things running) is really about his passion for the sport and the health benefits it provides to the population (who of you won't agree that running is perhaps the best drug out there when it comes to improving one's health?). He was a player in the first running boom, sharing either wisdom or beer with the likes of Kenneth Cooper, Frank Shorter, Kenny Moore, Hal Higdon, Jeff Galloway, Walt Stack, Phil Knight and the list goes on.
I could continue blathering on and bore you all more if I haven't already, but basically he now has his first shipment of books ready for the public. I know his goal is not to make his fortune with the book - instead he wanted to memeorialize what he has learned over the years.
So with that said, if you are so inclined to order a copy, here is a link. The consumate deal maker that he is - if you buy 2 he will pay the shipping. Credit Cards are not yet taken, but should be soon. I'm sure I'll bump this thread when that happens just to cheapen my image further. In the meantime you can print and send this form. You will get the first edition. You may ask who that cute little kid on the cover is...yes, it is me.

Anywho, thanks for hearing me out. Let me know if you happen to order one so I can hit my old man up for a beer in Portland.
