Re: 2019 Boston Marathon tracking thread
It appears the front that passed through Houston today will cause rain for the final round of The Masters and rain and 52 degrees on Monday for the marathon. This has been reported locally since Tuesday and the slide used during the weather forecast hasn't changed, which tells me there's not much to change before Monday.
The National Weather Service in Boston for Hopkinton forecasts showed 80% chance of rain Sunday night and 90% Monday. From this afternoon's Forecast Discussion at NWS Boston:
Low pressure approaching from the south will bring a
soaking rainfall Sunday night into Monday, which will likely be
heavy at times.
Amounts are expected to be from 0.75" to 1.5" and for Boston, as well. Messy, wet, and cold. Saturday at the expo should be sunny by midday and 73 degrees.

Thanks for doing this Doug. I think I've figured out how to record the event so that I can watch it later if I'm unable to watch it unfold.
Always a tough time of year for me...but I'm looking forward to following everyone!

Thanks, Ounce. Going to be another wet one but about 20 degrees warmer than last year. We will see as NE weather can change on a dime.

It's a yucky, rainy, windy, and advisory riddled morning at Hopkinton at 7:23 ET. The cool front and associated line of rain is passing through the area, as I write this. In the past hour, temperatures have dropped 9 degrees to 53 degrees. There is a wind advisory until 8 a.m. ET Tuesday and a flood advisory until 8:15 a.m. ET, this morning:

Wednesday with lighter winds, then a few showers are possible
Thursday as a warm front approaches. As a low pressure stalls

from Friday into Sunday along with milder temperatures. A
period of heavy rainfall is possible Friday night into Saturday.

I received the push notification on Fostever and 1L, but looks like the data has dropped because my screen looks like it did before the race.
Now, Michael has passed the 20K mark, but no time.

At Logan Int'l airport it is 60 degrees, cloudy, with a south wind of 14 mph.
Most of the rain has left Boston, but another line is just inside Massachusetts from Albany, NY.
