Ant Agent
My Garmin 305 finally gave up the ghost over the summer, so I bought a Garmin 310XT. The only option for downloading data (that I know of) is with a little USB Ant stick and their Ant Agent software. Long story short, after multiple downloads, updates, browsing Garmin help pages, googling trying to find solutions, loading/removing/reloading the software, doing so on a different computers.... etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum... nothing seems to work for more than a day. When the stars are apparently aligned and perhaps I've had a high fiber breakfast, I can download all my workouts that have accumulated on my watch . But very soon thereafter, perhaps because I have had an impure running thought, the Garmin Gods again smite me. Any solution I have found only seems to work for a day or so.
It's been so bad, I was surprised that there was no thread here on it. So, anybody else have issues with Ant Agent. Maybe a better question - anybody used it, and had zero problems.
Nostalgic for something with a USB cable......

Re: Ant Agent
Mine very rarely acts up. Things that tend to mess it up include:
1. Windows updates. I turned mine off a long time ago for this reason.
2. Having too much running at once. It will cause the upload to fail.
3. Moving the watch out of range (10' or so) after moving it into range.
What exactly is yours doing? I haven't seen you mention a hard reset for your watch, which may be a good option.

I still have a 305, but I've noticed even it tends to gag when I have too many runs stored in the device's memory. Garmin seems to want to download every bit of data, not just data from the most recent run.
I don't know if it'd help, but it helps for me if I regularly delete my old workouts once they've been downloaded.

I have a 610 and can't remember that last time I have had any problems with the antenna agent. It works great under Windows 7 for me.

Re: Ant Agent
Ant Agent malfunctions periodically on my pc (windows 7) post-installation of Garmin Express. You might try calling Garmin customer service. Do not try to get service by email. I tried that and no one ever responded. It worked fine before I installed Garmin Express. I have an old 405 I picked up dirt cheap. I think it is a software update issue.
