Adidas Spring Blade

What are your thoughts on this shoe.  It is definitely an interesting looking shoe.  The blades are supposed to help propel you forward, causing you to use less energy to push off while running.  I wonder if they actually work...but at $180, I sure as hell am not going to find out...

What it's *really* designed to do is propel lots of cash out of your wallet.

I read one review that it is more of a road racing shoe, as you lose stability on the trail.  No shit...have you seen the shoe. HAHA

Interesting. Wonder how that technology offset the extra weight of the shoe?

Given that the spring-loaded Spira shoe was banned in US road races, I have to believe this shoe will suffer the same fate, no?

I would think so, but I would guess they would have to do some sort of test first.  They banned special swimsuits too.  But, they allowed Pistorus blades.  Interesting.

I wonder if these shoes were modeled off of Pistorus' blade technology...
