Thanks! I just bought a pair of Brooks Cascadias.
I needed to get a new pair of trail shoes before my 50 miler and these will be great.
I might go back and buy another pair at that price.

Almost makes me just want to try a new brand of shoes since mine aren't on sale. Have any of you ever just picked a pair online you've never tried on before or is that plain foolish?

I wouldn't call it foolish, but maybe 'sporting' because their return policy is so liberal. Since shoes are so important to us, I'd probably want to narrow it down a bit. And you run the risk of the shoes on sale not being available later or being a discontinued model.

I have after making use of their shoe fitter feature. If you go to the shoe you usually buy, they even give you most similar shoes at the bottom of the page and you may be able to find something close that way. Plus, like ounce said, you can very easily return them. I've run in a pair for 4-5 miles on a mill and then stuck them back in the box to be returned and had no issues.
