Boston Travel Question Empty Boston Travel Question

Post  GregC Mon Apr 09, 2012 12:32 pm

As Martin VW has very helpfully pointed out in This thread the expo has been moved to the Seaport area (whatever that is). My question is, I'm flying into Logan on Sunday around noon and staying in Copley Square. Would it be easiest for me to stop at the Expo before going to the hotel? I don't really care about the expo experience...I just want to get in and get out really. Any bostonites willing to help a tourist out?

Yes, it does make sense to go to the Expo first, time-wise. But, if you don't have a car, that means taking a Silver Line bus, or a cab, and toting your luggage through the bib pickup. If your wife's with you, she could find a place to sit with the luggage at/close to the World Trade Center while you run in and get your bib/bag.

If she isn't keen on that and you go to the hotel first, take the "T" - Blue Line from Logan to the Green Line, switching at Government Center, to the Copley stop. Then, after dropping your stuff off, you'll want to take the Silver Line bus or a cab to the World Trade Center.

The expo is at

Seaport World Trade Center
200 Seaport Boulevard
Boston, MA 02210-2031
on the way into Boston from Logan via my usual route. Take the Sl1 (Silver Line bus from Logan to South Station) and get off at Congress & World Trade Center Station - only $2 and 21 minutes away. This setting makes it real easy to do a quick in & out -- iff not everybody opts for this convenient approach.
