Just caught this info... John Walsh (aka, Hadd from the famous Hadd training posts on LetsRun) passed away while running at the age of 56.

So young. Any news on the cause? I can hear the comparisons to Jim Fixx already. "Running will kill you."

RIP

Yikes. RIP John "Hadd" Walsh. You helped a lot of runners in your time. Including me.

Shows in the grand scheme of things, how short our lives really are! Doesn't matter how fit we are since we are still fragile flesh and bones! Thoughts and prayers to the family and his running family in Malta!silent

That sucks - two running friends in one weekend. They will fondly be remembered. Remember when in Heaven, on Sunday, do an easy 6.

I am a big believer in the "Hadd approach to distance running." Terrible news. My heart goes out to his family.

Agreed, too young.

I'm in the "at least adding life to my years" camp. My father is a regular runner and I feel it is helping with his longevity, but I know he is more active because of it.
