Garmin has gone silent...
Hi guys - My 305 has all of a sudden gone silent and does not beep at all (auto lap, screen changes, powering up, etc.) Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to troubleshoot? I have done a hard reset to no avail.
Thanks...
Thanks...

Consider it a mute! Or maybe it is meditating. Mine has been in a state of meditation for a year now. Like a Trappist Monk. Dare not wake it or try to make it talk. Enjoy the peace!

I would fedex mine to you, but mine runs out of battery before 3 hours.

My 405 backlight suddenly went kaput. Oh well, I guess these things only last so long. For $200-$400 you'd think we get something that would last at least as long as...............fill in the blank.

I'm pretty happy with my 405. It lasted 3 years of 24/7 use and through 3 band replacements. It was pretty beat up when the permanent part of the band broke and they offered me a referb for $75. Now its like I have a new watch.

Yeah, It's nearly 4 years old and probably is just one of those things that happens over time. I was hoping it wasn't and that there was something that I could do to troubleshoot.

Nick - My 305 did this too. Then, one day, it came back. So there ya go.

Try letting the battery run down completely.
