I'm a Barbie girl
According to Rolling Stone, Aqua's Barbie Girl was the worst song of the 90's. I find the song....catchy. In fact, I wouldn't put the majority of these songs on the worst list.

I would say that they got about half right...
I could do without:
Macarena
Who Let the Dogs Out?
Achy Breaky Heart
My Heart Will Go On
But the others are catchy and/or are iconic songs that are a part of my youth...

I feel the same way. Though I can't include My Heart Will Go On on the list because it resulted in New Found Glory's awesome cover of the song.

That doesn't read like a list of the worst songs... it's a list of the most over-played songs... which ultimately caused many people to dislike them. Who didn't like Ice Ice Baby when it came out? Or What's Up? Or TubThumping?

I have to admit that I actually liked all of those songs at one point! Haha! I was in 9th grade with "I'm Too Sexy" came out and actually bought the cassette single

Dave - damn you though for getting, "I'm A Barbie Girl" stuck in my head!

I mostly agree, but I have to say that I couldn't stand Tub Thumping from the 1st time I heard it. That song just drove me nuts. Ice Ice Baby is still and always will be one of my favorite songs!

There were worse songs than many of those (and gimmick songs don't count, imo), but that 4 Non-Blondes song was incredibly bad.

First of all, Jerry doesn't understand how someone remembers the worst song, let alone so many years ago.
Second of all, Jerry doesn't understand how this thread is funnier than his Ha ha ha one.

So my hair can blow,
The girlies on standby waving just to say hi,
Did you stop?, no I just drove by,
Kept on, pursuing to the next stop,
I bust a left and I'm heading to the next block,
The block was dead yo,
So I continued to A-1-A Beachfront Avenue...

Re: I'm a Barbie girl
I stopped reading after they put Mmmbop on the list. This list is clearly complete bullshit.
Re: I'm a Barbie girl
Ok, I'm older than all of you responders, and I can definitely do without any Mariah Carey and probably the Baha Men since the "Dog song" has become the "Dawg song" here in Georgia. However, I still love "Ice Ice Baby", "I'm too Sexy", and "Barbie Girl".

Re: I'm a Barbie girl
When you are in an East Lansing bar with two good friends chomping on wings and beer and watching MSU win the basketball championship in 1999/2000, "Tubthumping" sounds pretty good!!!
Nothing wrong with Aqua either (when you hear it in the company of your wife).
Of course, Rolling Pebble is quite ignorant in leaving Heart and Chicago out of the HOF.

My sister used to work at Olive Garden years ago and said ICP were complete jerks....however, they're from Michigan, so I can't loathe them too much
