Run For The Hills 10k, Farmington, Michigan
This is a nice local race. Ran the 10k with a couple of my kids as a test race for the Beaver Island Marathon over Labor Day weekend. Nothing remarkable about the race itself but I was curious about how how I'd do given my more relaxed training cycle. Pleased to report a 30 second PR of 39:45. First time below 40 min which is kinda exciting for me. Maybe Beaver Island will be successful afterall.
My son, daughter and i all won our age groups. That's kinda cool too.
Decided to vacation in NC this week. Now if I can just avoid this hurricane and avoid being evacuated that would be awesome. So far so good.

We had a mandatory evacuation on Friday morning. Lost two days of vacation but missed all the bad weather. Oh well.........

Actually we all had a PR. But to be honest, this was my son's first 10k. 41:39. He'll be smokin' his old man soon. Ahhhhhh..........to be young again.
