Whacky Garmin Tricks
During my run today, my Garmin (an old 205 which has worked just fine for 4 years) was acting a bit funny. The miles were off a few times a bit more than I'd like. Then, when I hooked it up to the PC when I got home, I noticed the elevation looked really weird. I know what it should look like, and this wasn't it. I don't use the elevation information right off the watch (and onto Training Center) because its unreliable, but I thought I'd put it on garminconnect and take a look at it, with the straight data and then with the correction enabled. The two below are the contrasting elevation charts for the same run. I guess I fell down a 1000 foot chasm and didn't notice it (I'm amazed I was able to run out of that!).
Anybody seen this before??

But the REAL question is, did you maintain your pace on the way down and the way back up?

I ate a gel just before the ascent, no problem!
