I need more rows!

Anyone here an expert with Excel? I need more rows added into my David Hayes running log. I can add rows, but it doesn't get all the equations for the other tabs.

This is when you buy an Oracle database and hire Jerry to implement.

Your best bet would be to insert rows prior to the last row and then copy the formulas down. This way it keeps the ranges that are in the formulas for the totals and everywhere else in place. First you'll need to unprotect the sheet and then you can show the Headings which are the columns and rows.



The password to unprotect is "dead".

Alex is right, but I used to just select a range of empty rows, copy, then insert/paste... that way the formulas copy as well.

Highlight one or several full rows and copy them [by holding down on the mouse and scrolling in the row heading column (far left) then CTL-C or right click and select 'Copy']

Place your pointer on the last row heading column, right click and choose 'Insert Copied Cells'

This will insert those copied rows with equations right above the last row, moving the last row down and maintaining the integrity of any summary rows below.

dave I needed to do that last year and it worked but it would not carry over to the rest of the sheets. So if all you care about is the log page then just do as Kevin Suggested but don't expect data to transfer to other sheets at least that was my story. I assume because of all your double days you need more.

Since I am doing it for FREE, why would I want to force myself to do more work, now that is just dumb!

Nope, neither of those...just busy! Again sorry for the delay in response.

This reminded me to send the actual executable file to Joel to see if he can add the rows (to the shoe area for Dave and I) permanently!!!!
