Sunglasses...
So, yesterday was a red flag day at the Gulf due to high waves and strong currents from the passing of tropical storm Don. I hit the surf early in the day and immediately lost a pair of cheap Panama Jack sunglasses... typical me. I've done this a dozen or more times, so I've learned to take cheap sunglasses to the beach...
Later in the day I'm out in the waves, holding out a faint hope that I will find my glasses, and what do I find? Sunglasses! Floating in the water was a pair of Oakley Five Squared! Not my cheap Panama Jacks, but there's no one around who looks like they lost a pair of Oakley glasses. Score.
This morning, the surf was low and the water was crystal clear, so I went snorkeling. What do I find? Sunglasses! Not Oakleys... Costa del Mar Hammerhead HH31! Again, no one around who looks like they lost a pair of Costa...
My Panama Jacks: $20
Oakleys: $80
Costa: $200
I think I did pretty well. However, that little bit of fortune doesn't even cover my bar tab this week!

Re: Sunglasses...
I have a pair of $5.00 glasses that have lasted me a couple of years. Think I bought them at the Expo in Davenport, Iowa.

Bandwidth or wavelength?
Nice finds. I used to wear aviators (cheap ones) for just about everything, including cycling and running. Wish I still had a pair, but the place I got them at shut down a few years back and I don't want to drive to LA to get them in Chinatown. Now I wear... I think they're oakleys. Won them at a trail HM for 1st place AG.

I am partial to the Oakley Flak Jackets. Unfortunately, my 2 year old Golden Retriever is as well. I believe I'm on pair #4 of them although she has trained me to be very careful on where I store them when I'm not wearing them.

Re: Sunglasses...
I have never purchased a pair of sunglasses in my life. Odd, I know. Maybe I should start looking in the water...
