From here on, it's gonna be just the bike and weight room for a bit. Gotta give this shin a chance to heal.
Week - ~10hr
Do you think the weights contribute to the shin issue as lifting puts stress on the legs. Even biking does for that matter.
Nah, I think they both have helped, actually. It's definitely an impact-related issue, and I think it's due to haphazardly upping my mileage in my Green Silences about 6-8 weeks back (when it started). Just based on when it hurts, it's purely a running-related thing.

Mon: Social duties.
Tue: 4 - Easy with strides.
Wed: 6 - 10km Predictor
Thu: More social duties.
Fri: Lower back pain all day.
Sat: 10K race - Hot and badly organised: You won't believe this, but the two 2.5km laps were too short; they apparently realised this after the start and added an extra 650m loop, which somewhat surprised the 236 finishers. Some of us actually crossed the line and stopped our watches before being shooed on. Good place (13th out of 236), but too hot for any decent times.
Sun: 7 Easy.
Total: Only 24 miles.

Did you get an "ill or injured" deferment for London? If so, I hope to see you there next year. I know you'll follow a sensible recovery programme and reap the benefits, but I can feel your frustration.Chris M wrote:I'm 7 weeks post knee surgery ...

I knew there was some good reason for leaving London. But I did rather like Twickenham!KBFitz wrote:...right in the thick of things in Hammersmith surrounded by Fulham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
