Re: Your Week In Training, Jan. 14-20
Gobbles - PR followed by a 16? Shit. And we were pretty close in terms of fitness for a while. Nice job.
1/14 - 1:10 recovery bike
1/15 - 4mi progressive run (playing with footstrike and new shoes)
1/16 - 2hr easy/aerobic bike, weights
1/17 - 4mi recovery run

1/19 - at retreat for executive board I'm on
1/20 - 5.2mi easy/recovery run, more retreat
Not too much this week.

Re: Your Week In Training, Jan. 14-20
- I did my six mile Maffetone test which shows that my conditioning is leaving rapidly now, which is to be expected.
- Am doing lots of core, leg and upper body strength training. I am totally realizing how one dimensional I was for the past few years, thinking I didn't need these items, or cross training. I re-read my gait analysis from three years ago and noticed how often it refered to my weak core and especially weak hips, and how that could lead to problems. Big lesson learned.
- Cross training almost every day though at a recovery / low aerobic HR. Thursday was a spin class which always gets my HR up there
Week - 6 miles
YTD - 23 miles

Auburn. Wanted to try somewhere different. I was planning it as a threshold workout, not a race, but...
