Grr . . . Garmin died
I got my Garmin 305 in January and today it is dead.
It has worked flawlessly until today.
At the Howl at the Moon it ran for over 8 hours and still had juice left.
It won't charge - it can't be seen by my MacPro and the Garmin software.
I cleaned the contacts - so it is not that issue.
I understand that Garmin is very good with replacements - I will call them soon.
I have 8 miles to run this morning, but I have a new route at the Wildlife Refuge that I know is exactly 8 miles.
Just a bit aggravating - at least it is not 30 minutes before my first marathon.
Even then not the end of the world, but I need it for pacing - I still do not have that internalized.

Try this-hold the mode and lap/reset buttons down together for about 10 seconds. That should reset the watch and solve the issue. I've had a similar problem before.

If the computer isn't reading it, too, try reinstalling the drivers. I've had to do that multiple times. Garmin software sucks.

Woo hoo - correctomundo!
The reset idea worked - I should have thought about that.
So many electronics do have reset routines.
Thanks so much!

Re: Grr . . . Garmin died
I found a YouTube video that shows two resets.
Soft reset: hold mode and reset buttons for several seconds - then try power.
Hard reset: hold power, reset & mode buttons several seconds - then try power.
The hard reset "might' erase any info on the Garmin.
