Cardio cath procedure found LAD artery 99% blocked. Cobalt chrome
Fri     -             stent placed. Easy Peasy. Thanks Nancy for your advice. I'm taking it.
Sat     -            
Sun     2  walk  75°F I just had to get out. Feeling strong but taking it easy ... for now.
Week    2
YTD   536             Nancy: I doubt that my cardiologist will encourage running.
                      But I'm sure he'll allow easing back into it with vigilance.

Glad to hear your procedure went smoothly Kevin.  Sounds like you made the decision to have things checked out just in time!  Good to hear that you're already feeling well enough to get out for a walk...I know the feeling well!

Week 2 of Pfitz 18/55

M - off
T - 8.1mi w/ 10x strides in CA (5mi walking the Strip in LV)
W - off (8mi walking in LV)
Th - off 
F - 10mi w/ lotsa hills on the trails
S - 5mi recovery with Dan
S - 12.5mi failed MP run (goal was 8 @ MP, reality was 6 + 1 @ MP)

Glad to hear that all went well and that you are back on the mend.  Just be smart and follow Nancy's lead - shoot, she's ready to run a marathon again.

As for training - 

Mon - Day off for recovery after "Duathlon"
Tues - Easy 17 miles Cycling; 1500 yd Swim in Competitive Swim Training Class (like Masters with kids too)
Wed - 35 min Swim in Lake Erie (~ 1200 yds)
Thurs - Bike 25 miles easy; 1650 yds in Swim Class (intervals and drills)
Fri - 5 mile Run in the rain, Easy pace
Sat - 50 miles Ride and Up Thayer Hill (16% grade at the top) - longest ride in several yrs
Sun - 8 mile Run, easy pace, very humid

Bike:  92 miles
Swim: 4350 yds
Run: 13 miles
