About Tights

Lets say for a quality tights:
1. Does it increase my pee time during the race? I hope I don't have to tie it.
2. How much a risk is it with chafing if I just buy a brand new one before the race?

1. Shouldn't be a problem. Tights are pretty stretchy, so it's usually not a big deal if the drawstring isn't tied perfectly.
2. Also shouldn't be a problem. Chafing in tights tends to come more from whatever you're wearing under them, so just get those spots where the elastic rubs suitably protected with BodyGlide.

I'll add that you don't really need to spend a ton on them either. I wear my trusty Walmart brand ones when it's cold and they do the trick and I've never had an issue of any kind with them.

That reminds me I have actually two cheap ones, like $10, I bought years ago. Never felt comfortable wearing them. Ok, maybe I gave them a try in long runs, in case I need it in Boston.
