How to...Hydration Bladder Insulation Empty How to...Hydration Bladder Insulation

Post  workwithdavidlee Thu Aug 10, 2023 9:43 pm

Hello,

I am brand new to running and after 3 weeks I'm up to between 4-6 miles. I purchased a Nathan Quicksilver hydration vest after getting tired of holding my phone, key water bottle, etc.

I did some research and love the vest, very lightweight, plyable and functional.

The only problem is that I live in North Texas and the heat index right now daily is between 103-110. (thats normal for about 2-3 months)

Even after putting ice in my bladder, my water is not just warm, borderline hot

in a very short time.

Has anyone here used something to wrap wrap their bladder in to insulate it a bit? I can think of possibilities and use trial and error but thought someone here might have some personal anecdotal experience to draw from.

Any help is greatly appreciated  Thanks-David   How to...Hydration Bladder Insulation Icon_smile
